Cutting Takes is a digital publication focused on global politics, cultural critique, literature, and social commentary. They needed a website that presents content clearly, attracts readers, and supports discovery of articles across categories like “International Affairs,” “Domestic Politics,” and “Cultural Critique.” Our goal was to design a platform that improves user engagement while boosting SEO for content visibility.
Our Approach
We implemented a modern, content-first design that highlights featured articles and makes categories easily accessible. The new architecture organizes content by topic and author to aid browsing. On the SEO side, we optimised metadata, categories, internal linking, and ensured fast loading pages to support better indexing and search performance.
Challenge
Before this project, Cutting Takes had no website or central hub for their content. Articles were scattered and difficult for readers to find or follow consistently. Without a digital platform, they were also missing opportunities to rank in Google for political and cultural commentary. They needed a professional website to showcase their work, build an audience, and improve discoverability through SEO.
